The lint DOES get
through the screen and slowly builds up along the walls of the
vent from the screen to the outside opening. Clean it at least
once a year! This packed down lint can easily become over
heated & combust into a fire! Remove the lint screen - then
place your crevice tool on your vacuum wand end and vacuum as
far down and around the dryer drum & the vent pipe opening all
the way to the outside vent. Then remove the back vent tube or
accordion plastic tube and thoroughly clean that out. I replace
the plastic accordion tube because it is cheap to buy and it's
hard to clean out all those creases and folds.
Additional HINT:
Do NOT run the dryer when you are NOT at home. |
