PUMPKIN CREAM CHEESE SPREAD

  Use as an appetizer, dip or dessert
Prep time:  10 minutes, chill 1 hour

INGREDIENTS:

1  8oz pkg of cream cheese, softened

1/2  cup canned pumpkin pie mix  OR  ( 1/2 c canned pumpkin + 3/4 t pumpkin pie spice )

1/4  cup sugar

1/2  teaspoon vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

- Beat all ingredients together with an electric mixer until smooth.

- Cover the bowl & refrigerate 1 to 24 hours.

- Serve:
 with graham crackers, plain Triscuits, Club, HiHo, Ritz, etc. type crackers

- Use as a dip for apples and pretzels

- As a dessert - spread on sugar cookies !

Makes 1 1/2 cups

- Use low fat cream cheese

- Can make one day ahead
