Holly's CHAMPAGNE PUNCH

This is a real crowd pleaser..........

INGREDIENTS:

- 5 cups water

- 1 cup sugar

- 1/3 c instant tea powder (or make tea with the listed 5 cups of water and 5 tea bags & chill)

- ½ c lemon juice

- ¼ c rum

- ¼ c brandy

- 2 bottles champagne, chilled

- 1 bottle (28 oz) club soda, chilled

 

DIRECTIONS:

In a pitcher stir until dissolved - the water, sugar, and instant tea.
Add the lemon juice, rum and brandy. Chill.  This can be done a day ahead.

Pour into punch bowl & add the chilled champagne, club soda and ice ring.  25 servings

NOTE:  This recipe can be doubled.

Holly's Hints:  
  **  Make ice cube molds out of an ingredient of your punch so that the ice mold doesn’t dilute the punch with water.

  **  Those of you in the northern states – during the winter – to save refrigerator space I chill my champagne, pop, etc. outside on the deck in our large cooler or by just sticking them in a mound of snow.
