BISCUIT STROMBOLI

Preheat oven to 400° 

1 lb ground meat (or ½ lb. sliced deli ham)
½ c chopped onion
½ c chopped green pepper
1 -  8oz can tomato sauce (or pizza sauce)
½ t salt (dash if use ham)
¼ pepper
½ t Italian Seasoning
1 - 12oz can refrigerator biscuits
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese

1)  Grease a cookie sheet 

2)  Brown the meat, onion, green pepper together

3)  Stir in the sauce & seasonings. Simmer for 5 minutes 

4)  Press all of the biscuit dough on the greased cookie sheet into a 14x10 rectangle

5)  Spread the meat mix over only half of it

6)  Top with the cheese

7)  Carefully fold over dough & seal it with a fork

 Bake in the 400° oven for 15-20 minutes, until it is golden brown.  Let it cool for 5 minutes before you cut it in slices to serve.  Enjoy.

 

 HINT:  - Make smaller ones by dividing the dough in half to make 2 strombolis

              - Substitute ingredients for the ones you like or have on hand.
